About Us

Brent Community Transport (BCT) is a voluntary organisation, registered charity and a registered company limited by Guarantee. Established in 1975, BCT has been providing affordable and accessible transport solutions to the community, groups and individuals. Being very community centric we rely on funding to help deliver projects.

The overall responsibility of this organisation rests with the Management Committee, which is elected annually at our AGM. The CEO oversees the day-to-day running of the organisation and reports bi-monthly to the management committee trustees.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to help overcome social exclusion experienced by the most disadvantaged persons in our community by providing affordable and accessible transport to individuals, voluntary, community, statutory organisations and commercial sectors.
We aim to provide sustainable transport solutions and are continuously monitoring the effects of our organization on the environment by putting in place measures to reduce our carbon footprint.

We recognise the need to keep all our drivers and passenger assistants fully compliant with all current legal and safety standards. Safe driving and passenger handling is key for our delivery of service.

Our drivers and passenger assistants are fully trained on following as required

  • MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme)
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence ( CPC). Manual Handling and Disability Awareness
  • Passenger-Assistant Training (PATs)
  • Manual Handling
  • First Aid
